Day 39 – Argue with anything at all that anyone says

After arguing with Ingrid about any number of things, I reminded her that today I was supposed to argue with anything that anyone says.

“Well, it’s sorta hard to tell that you’re doing anything different, ’cause that’s all you do any-fuckin’-way. Put that in your blog and SUCK IT!”

I just thought I would share: You already know what “prefixes” and “suffixes” are in language. You add a prefix like “pre” to “view” and you get “preview.” You add a suffix like “ism” to “erotic” and you get “eroticism”. Sure, that’s easy.

But did you know there’s actually a term called “infixes” for when you add a word in the middle of another word? When Ingrid said, “anyfuckingway” she was using an infix. Other examples include “absoFUCKINGlutely” and even things like “shIZNit” or “hIZouse”. The more you know!

In reference to Andy’s comment I also knew about “infixes”. I read about it in a book, and one of the examples it gave was “godTRIPLEdamnit”. I thought it was weird.
