Burden of Dreams

I recently watched Burden of Dreams. This is an amazing documentary about the making of a movie. It’s very much like Lost in La Mancha in that it’s about a failed movie making experience. This one is totally amazing in its craziness. Herzog (the director of Grizzly Man) didn’t want to use any special effects of “actors” as his extras, so when the script called for a group of natives to pull a 300 ton steamboat over a mountain, he tried to do just that. And people fuckin’ died! And during another scene were the steamboat is supposed to head down some rapids, it crashes into a huge rock cliff and all these people are injured….it’s just totally insane to watch. I highly recommend it.
